Creating a Leaded Glass effect - A Xara X step-by-step tutorial

Reduce just the height of the bitmap to 25%. (Click the black lock icon on the Infobar so that it is in the up position. Enter 25 in the Scale Height % text entry box on the Infobar, and press Enter).

Position the bitmap directly under the window art.

Select the bitmap with the Mould Tool and click the Default Perspective icon to apply a Default Perspective envelope. Click on the bottom left control point and drag it to the left as shown. Do the same thing with the bottom right control point.

Select the bitmap with the Transparency Tool. Hold down the Ctrl key and drag from the top of the bitmap to the bottom to apply an interactive Linear transparency. Click the square at the top of the fill path arrow and change the Transparency slider setting to 20%. Click the bottom square (control point) and change the slider setting to 80%.

This creates the impression of light coming through the glass and shining in front of the glass.
