Creating a Leaded Glass effect - A Xara X step-by-step tutorial

To add realism to the leaded glass window, we will create some solder shapes. When creating a leaded glass window or art piece, the place where the individual pieces of lead come together are joined with an application of lead solder. The solder is usually lighter and shinier than the channeled lead strips that hold the glass in place.

Create a small 5.5 pixel square. Using the Fill Tool, apply a Circular fill using 40% black on the outside and white on the inside .Offset the center of the fill up and to the left as shown in the enlarged image on the right. Apply a Wall Shadow with the Shadow Tool.

NOTE: For the size of the image we are creating here, you can barely see the detail. But if you enlarge your drawing this step will add a bit of realism.
